50% OFF Promo at LRT & MRT for Students

 

As students head back to school, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has announced a 50% fare discount for all students on LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3, starting June 20, 2025!

The discount also applies to postgraduate students and can be used daily—including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Just present your valid ID within the current school year.

However, the 50% student discount is currently available only for single journey tickets, and is not yet applicable to Beep cards.  



For LRT-2, which carries the highest number of student commuters among the three rail lines, the minimum fare is set at ₱8, while the end-to-end fare will be ₱18.
