The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost), led by Postmaster General Maximo Sta. Maria III, together with Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso and Vice Mayor Chie Atienza, unveiled the 2025 Christmas Stamps featuring “The Nativity”—a vibrant depiction of the birth of Jesus Christ inspired by cherished Filipino Christmas traditions.
The stamp launching was held during the simultaneous Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Kartilya ng Katipunan (City Hall Park) on Friday, December 5.
A Tribute to Filipino Faith and Tradition
The featured artwork highlights the Belen, the traditional Filipino representation of the Nativity scene, portraying the Holy Family—Mary, Joseph, and the infant Jesus in the manger—accompanied by the Three Wise Men. The illustration symbolizes the centrality of family, faith, and hope in the celebration of Christmas across the country.
“The Nativity Stamp is PHLPost’s tribute to the nation’s deep Christian faith,” said Postmaster General Sta. Maria. “By showcasing the humble birth of Jesus Christ, we hope to remind every Filipino of the message of hope, humility, and love that Christmas brings.”
Stamp Design and Features
The 2025 Christmas Stamp measures 50 mm x 35 mm and features special gold foil embellishments to highlight the sacred and festive elements of the design. The artwork and layout were crafted by PHLPost in-house graphic artist Eunice Dabu.
“This stamp is more than a celebration of our faith—it is an invitation to rekindle our shared values of unity, devotion, and compassion during the most joyous season of the year,” Sta. Maria added. “We also hope it inspires families to remain steadfast and supportive of one another, just as Mary and Joseph did despite the challenges they faced.”
Celebrating Filipino Heritage through Stamps
PHLPost emphasized that every stamp is a cultural treasure—carrying stories, history, and identity across generations. The launch also follows the recent celebration of National Stamp Collecting Month, where collectors showcased their collections to promote philately and revive interest in letter writing, especially among the youth.
