Dad’s the man as we celebrate him this June at the Shang

Here are all the ways you can spend time with dad this Father’s Day

Shangri-La Plaza is dedicating the month of June to all fathers and everyone who are like dads in their own ways with a lineup of activities that brings families closer together.

Capture beautiful memories with the man of the house and the rest of the family by checking out the unique Father’s Day installation at the Grand Atrium on June 5-19. Designed by La Belle Fete, the decor reflects the go-getter life of fathers.

Get to explore the world and catch a flick or two with pa at the Cine Europa Philippines, happening on June 16-18 at the Red Carpet at the Shang. As the longest-running European film festival in the country, the festival offers rare world cinema wonders from countries like Latvia, Poland, and Sweden— and they’re all screening for free!

Is dad more of a car lover? Catch the Vintage Car (FORD GT40) Exhibit on June 10-18 at Level 1, Main Wing. Of the five initial GT40 prototypes, only three from the American automobile manufacturer remain today.

On Father’s Day – that’s June 18, 6:30pm, let dad have some well-deserved R&R with another anticipated Live at the Shang! performance at the Grand Atrium, this time featuring the captivating music of the premier Manila Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) under the baton of Maestro Rodel Comenar.

Then, reminisce childhood memories and build a new world together with pops at the new LEGO Certified Store that’s also opening on June 18 at L5 East Wing.  Still can’t get enough bricks? Check out the life-size LEGO-fied Ferrari on display on June 19-30 at the Level I, Main Wing.

Bring out more of dad’s fun side by heading back to the arcade with Game On, Dad! on June 23-25 at the East Atrium. For this, Shang puts together some of the iconic arcade games from different generations in one single destination. Explore and play the games of the 80s, and introduce the games of the current generation with premium arcade center Q Power Station and other home brands.

Make time to sit down and have a good meal with pa and the entire family at the Shang this month. Fish & Co, a fave among families for its fresh seafood fare, rejoined Shang’s selection of dining destinations; while Vietnamese resto Pho Hoa has recently opened their expansion, serving much-loved noodle soups and spring rolls. Feel like trying up and coming brands in the local food scene instead? Take the family to the Masarap Ba? Food Fair on June 30-July 2 to delight in various flavors from some of the metro’s buzziest eats.

Whether the man of the house is into the arts, shoes, cars, gaming, food, or unique experiences, the best way to show love this Father’s Day is to have a good time together. #ShangLovesDads indeed, with a roster of dining, shopping, art, and culture activities that dad and the entire brood will surely enjoy.
