Get an “Emily in Paris” inspired experience as the mall celebrates in full French style

It’s Paris at the Shang this February

This February, Shangri-La Plaza takes inspiration from the French city of love and the arts, putting together a curated experience in time for Valentine’s Day and National Arts Month that “Emily in Paris” would absolutely enjoy.

Step into a Parisian plaza. Paris is brimming with picturesque town squares called places including popular ones like Place Vendôme, Place de la Sorbonne, and Place de la Concorde - and the Shang is transforming the Grand Atrium into one!

Valentine's Cake from The Bakeshop at Edsa Shangri-la

Lounge by the center fountain while people-watching and eating from the selection of quaint stalls featuring delicious pastries from Edsa Shangri-La Bakeshop, dishes from Duck & Buvette and Cibo, and pretzels from Auntie Anne's. Get fresh bouquets or unique floral creations from shops like Holland Tulips, Ester Flowershop, Floral Creation by Lynn, Royal, and Dutch Delight to keep or gift to someone special. Then browse and shop for pretty items and nifty knick knacks at brands like Rustan’s Department Store and Daiso

Like many Parisian squares, the Grand Atrium is also a place for fun and entertainment. The plaza comes even more alive with street performers like mimes and buskers  on February 12-14.

Dress like the French. Dress like the French. Emily isn’t Parisian, but she sure can dress as fashionably as one. There’s a certain je ne sais quoi in the way the French dress, having mastered the art of looking effortlessly put together. They may dress to impress but never look like they do.

At the Shang, one can truly emulate this coveted style with iconic French labels to complete the chic aesthetic. The ever-popular pique polos from Lacoste and elegant and contemporary designs from Daniel Hechter (touted the world’s first fashion label to bring affordable luxury to the high street) should always take up space in one’s wardrobe. And agnes b. is the place to go for stylish leather handbags and cheeky accessories.

When in France, eat as the French do. Dine the Parisian way and enjoy a lovely meal with an equally lovely view. In the tradition of French outdoor cafes and bistros terraces, the Shang has enhanced its Dine Al Fresco at the Ledge Level 6 to reflect a decidedly City of Lights style. To add more joie de vivre to everyone’s dining experience, buskers are set to serenade diners there as well as at the House of Wagyu, Streetscape, Corazon, and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on Valentine’s Day.

Emily in Paris fans and long-time Francophiles can say bonjour to a Parisian way of life #FortheLoveofArtatShang this February.  For updates and inquiries, follow Shangri-La Plaza on Facebook at facebook.com/shangrilaplazaofficial and on Instagram @shangrilaplazaofficial.
