Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival 2013 Schedule of Events

The Ati-atihan Festival, like the Sinulog Festival, is a feast to honor the Sto. Nino.  It also culminates with a street dance parade (usually tribal dance) with dancers in colorful costumes.  The name "Ati-Atihan" means "to be like Aetas" or "make believe Ati's." (The Aetas are the Philippines' original settlers)  That's why, the dancers smear black body paint on their skin. (source: Wikipedia)
