Why I Love Shopping....

*Studies show that shopping isn't just about materialism and torturing the man in your life; it's actually good for your mental and physical health. It releases mood-lifting endorphins, boosts your immune system, keeps your brain nimble, and even fulfills basic social needs.

And it's not only about pleasure. Shopping may also help women maintain their mental acuity in old age, says Guy McKhann, M.D., a professor of neurology at Johns Hopkins University and a co-author of Keep Your Brain Young. Why I love shopping:

1) It sharpens my math skills – I can compute 20% off Php 850 or 50% off Php 1500 less 10% in a snap!

2) It’s a form of exercise – Imagine walking steadily for hours! A minimum 3 hours of shopping is equivalent to almost 5 kilometers of walking. Additionally, an average woman walks over 240 kilometers very year just by searching and looking for bargains.

3) It burns calories without noticing it. On the average, a woman can lose up to 385 calories just by walking between shops and carrying the items she bought.

4) It keeps me on my diet plan. Can you still think of food when hunting for Sale Items?

5) It’s a therapy – Women may agree that shopping releases stress and reduces depression!

6) AND, OF COURSE, THE PURE JOY OF FINDING A GOOD FIND AND A GREAT BUY IS IMMEASURABLE!!!
