The US Embassy Club is a charitable giving and volunteer organization made up of US Embassy Manila employees and their family members. USEC offers quarterly financial grants to local organizations dedicated to improving the lives of Filipino children. In addition to providing financial support, USEC volunteers use their talents in a variety of ways to support this important work: they read books to children, teach guitar lessons, and hold kids’ hands as they enter the operating room. USEC also coordinates special outreach events, such as tours on US Navy ships for kids, build days at housing projects, and play times at hospitals.
To raise funds for its efforts, USEC holds periodic fundraisers. Its best known annual fundraiser, the Shoppers’ Day Bazaar, features some of the best vendors in the Philippines and amazing raffle prizes. This is a guilt-free shopping event, so don't miss it.
