Urban Apparel Opens at ATC: Style and Irreverence at Their Best!

A step into Urban Apparel’s chic interiors unveils a sense of art behind its design; bold black-and-white stripes slash across the store’s doorway column, leading eyes to sharply dressed mannequins at the window. Fun little quirks, like afro-shaped decals, litter the store’s every corner, serving as a backdrop evocative of the clothes’ aesthetics – stylish and trendy, yet never taking itself too seriously.

With everything there is to see and experience at Urban Apparel, it’s the clothes that remain the undisputed highlight. Urban Apparel brings five of the fashion world’s most fun-loving brands to Metro Manila, and to customer’s closets.

The first of these is Tokyo Laundry, a UK-based brand that puts an emphasis on bringing a fashionable edge to casual clothing. Their tops and bottoms are characterized by vintage-style prints and distressed details crafted carefully onto comfortable fabrics, ensuring that one never has to suffer for fashion. Tokyo Laundry is also represented in Urban Apparel by their guest brand, Dissident, whose clean, industrial lines and militaristic cuts complement the former’s more relaxed style.

Strawberry Fields is another brand that’s as fresh as its name. With vivid basics and brightly-colored graphics for both women and men, the brand promises that ensembles never, ever have to look dreary again.

Paris’ Fresh Brand, a casual vintage-inspired men's line that embodies the all-American lifestyle with a European edge, is a relative newcomer in menswear, having been founded in 2009 for men with tastes as dynamic as their designs. Their tops range from eclectic graphic tees to slightly toned down ones, giving customers an option to suit each mood.

Tally Weijl, a leading international fashion label made for young women and girls, offers something for ladies who want to stay young, rambunctious, and sexy. The Switzerland-based company has been designing their take on urban casual since 1984, and has maintained a strong presence on the global fashion stage. Along with graphic tops and bottoms that bristle with attitude, Tally Weijl also has shoes, bags, and other accessories lining Urban Apparel’s walls.

Rounding out the fashion brands at Urban Apparel is Mr. Miyagi and Co., a collection of polos and tees emblazoned with graphics and sayings befitting its namesake’s era. Randomness is the word of the day for the charismatic brand, with its fun 80s-style attitude permeating through every thread.

As if all that wasn’t enough to keep eyes bouncing around the store, Urban Apparel also carries a variety of knick knacks from Kikkerland, an award-winning creative design studio with cheeky, witty, smartly designed gadgets and novelty & inventive items for every personality.

“We want every visit to Urban Apparel to be a different experience for our customers,” says Vinny Genomal, Director. “Shopping should be as fun and exciting as the clothes you buy, and that’s what we aim for.”

With a store that carries as much personality as the items on its racks, Urban Apparel looks to be one of Metro Manila’s hottest new stops for trendy casual clothing.

Urban Apparel is located at the G/F Alabang Town Center, Alabang Zapote Wing, Marquee Mall Pampanga, and Ayala Center Cebu. Tokyo Laundry can also be found at Wellworth Department Store, Ayala Terraces Fairview. The Fresh Brand can be found at Rustans Alabang Town Center and Rustan's Shangri-La Plaza Mall.
