Hair & Hair Color Trends for 2013

The first month of the New Year has not yet passed, but the hair experts from the salon industry have already framed the list of upcoming hair trends of 2013. They have figured out the hair styles, colors and trends that are going to rule the charts for this year. Let us have a look at what they have to say.

Braids

There is a high possibility of an increase in demand for braids. Irrespective of the braids being simple or intricately designed, or they being used as an accessory at a wedding party or just on a walk, they would be sought after throughout the year. A very good thing about braids is that the messier a braid is the cooler would it look.

Hair Colors

2013 is going to be the year of fashion colors with people of all ages and genders. Most importantly what people would look for this year are the ‘unnatural’ colors. The idea of coloring a particular end of one’s hair was always there. But this year, more people will be inclined to go for hair colors. They are mostly looking for pastels. According to most salon experts purple is going to be the hair color of this year.

The Grey Color

Grey is going to be one of the most favorite hair colors of the individual. it is going to be a trendsetter of 2013. There was a time when people used to get their hair colored in order to hide the grayness. But, today they are willing to highlight the grey part of their hair with more touches of shimmering silver. Those who are graying at a fast rate can go for this trendy color this year.

Red to turn a Head

The color red has always been one of the hottest tinges all through hair color history. 2013 is going to be no exception. However, it will likely be of different types of red hair colors. Most would go for copper reds, fashion reds, fiery reds and obviously a mixture of the three of them. Thus, it can be said a revival of the style of 1930s and 60s can be noticed this year. 

The Vintage Style

The primary reasons behind a revival of the retro look and vintage style are that it is classy, elegant and cool at the same time. Quite interestingly, the look is spiced up all the more with a gorgeous hair do for a wedding ceremony or a scarf or bandana would add to the coolness of the look. There are high chances of pin curls to return.

If you are not willing to be on the bolder side to follow the fashion trends this year, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.  Hair trends will also be available. Sporting bangs like Michelle Obama, will be one of your best options.  But remember to select bangs which suit your facial features.
